Laura Miller Design is a Northern California based architecture and interior design studio with a focus on single and multi-family residential projects.  We offer a full range of design services and welcome all types of projects, from remodels and additions to new construction.

owner + PRINCIPAL

Laura is a licensed Architect and Interior Designer with fifteen years of industry experience.  Laura entered the design and building industry in 2006, after earning her bachelor’s degree from UC Davis.  She worked several years as an Interior Designer in San Francisco, where she graduated, magna cum laude, from FIDM’s Interior Design program.  She then earned her Master of Architecture degree, cum laude, from the NewSchool of Architecture and Design, and went on to work for noted design and development firms in San Diego, Los Angeles, and Sacramento.

From these years of experience, Laura has a strong command of project management, the entitlement and permitting process, and the unique challenges of the multi-family rehab and development sector. In 2020, Laura opened her own firm, bringing her broad expertise and passion for design to a personal studio setting.

Meet OUR TEAM

 
 

  • Kyla Barriga

    ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER

    Kyla grew up in northern California and appreciates the natural beauty the area offers. She began her studies at UCLA, first in bioengineering and later in the dance program, before completely changing directions and winding up with a BFA in Interior Architecture from CSU Chico. She particularly enjoys the challenge of designing compact, multifunctional spaces and is interested in environmentally sustainable design. Outside of architecture and interior design, she loves dancing, aerial arts, tea lattes, and storms.

  • Ivan Sanchez

    ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER

    Ivan is a Sacramentan, born and raised. He earned his Bachelor’s of Architecture degree, graduating cum laude, from Newschool of Architecture and Design in San Diego. He loves working on projects that help bring client’s ideas to life. When Ivan is not working in the office he enjoys fishing, time with family, music, and Sacramento Kings games.

  • Ashley Gonzalez

    ARCHITECTUAL INTERN

    Ashley is a full time student in Consumers River College, she hopes to earn her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Architecture.
